Israel has intensified its attacks in Lebanon, killing Hamas official Samer al-Hajj in the coastal city of Sidon. The Israeli military claimed al-Hajj was responsible for attacks on Israel from Lebanon. The strike, carried out by an Israeli drone, also injured two civilians. The attack on Sidon, far from Lebanon’s southern border, comes amid growing tensions as Hezbollah prepares to retaliate for the recent assassination of its commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut.
